Lots Going On

Trying to get caught up on my blogging...I am not doing so well.  I want to share so many photos and I just haven't made the time to sit at this computer and do it.  When I see our garden growing and flower beds to be tending, I just don't want to be at this computer.  Though, I still want to share some things with you; my family.
I know these photos probably have been seen already.  I just thought I would collage them and do one big set.
There have been so many wonderful things going on...From my parents party, celebrating 40 years of marriage and almost 60 years of life.  To our annual Lost in the 50's celebration, where all these wonderful cars parade through our streets and the girls dress in their 50's style clothes.  We even had peacock visitors in our chicken coop area.  Those two peacocks are still roaming the neighborhood and are very loud!
We are enjoying our hummingbirds drinking from the feeders.  One even got caught in our chicken coop and I was able to grab it in my hands to free it.  It was so light and I could feel his tiny heart beat in my hand.  I had never felt that before.  God sure made wonderful animals!
Recently, we have officially finished 3rd and 7th grade!  Well, my girls have, but being their teacher I feel like I have climbed Mt. Everest!  WOW!  What a year.  We are so proud of our girls.  So blessed with the opportunity of staying home for their education.

We are also testing new waters.  The girls will be starting horse riding lessons next week.  Yesterday the took a quick lesson and they were so excited.  Watching them on that big horse was so cool.  Still I am a little cautious...horses are huge animals and it can be a little scary.   So we will see how that goes.  While we are doing that swimming will be held off.
In our gardening adventure (and I will be getting photos of that too) we have planted garlic, onions, lettuce, spinach, carrots, beans, peas, broccoli, potatoes, and tomatoes.  Plus I have some herbs growing.  Lots of hard work, especially for my husband, but so much fun and worth every moment.
Oh and I am attempting, ATTEMPTING, on making my first quilt.  That's all I am going to say about that.

May God bless you today.  May you walk in His name.  Remember who you are.  God loves you so much.

Spring Is In the Air

Seems like I have been neglecting my blogging these last months.  However, I have been enjoying the spring days and all the work we've been doing in our gardens.  Every moment my husband and I get, we go out and slave away in our yard.  We get to spend so much more time together now that the mountain has closed and school is coming to an end.  I could spend every moment with him just digging in our yard.
If you've been on my facebook, you have probably seen most of these photos.  Just thought I would put a few words to them and hope you enjoy.

Here is my sweetie.  I love him dearly!  We are just off the highway enjoying these HUGE rocks.

Oh....CLOSE YOUR EYES!  LOL!  My daughter took this one and it is my FAVORITE!  Love this of us.  We are still in love after almost 15 years of marriage.

My gorgeous teen.  She liked to climb these huge boulders with her flip flops.  She is wonderful and I love her.

My sweet girl.  You are so precious to us.  She also loved climbing everywhere.  A bit more cautious and careful, but still loved the outdoors and our little adventure.

I hope to post more photos really soon.  Hopefully some garden photos too, after our rain goes away again.

GOD BLESS and remember who you are. ;)

Momma's Day

I would like to say Thank You to my momma.  To my best friend.  The one who has listened to all my hard times, funny times, happy times, and spiritual times.  My sweet unconditional loving mom who gives her all to her family.  She shows strength, love, compassion,  a giving nature and most of all her incredible relationship she has with our Lord.
She is my kindred spirit.  The one I trust with everything.  She never changes.  I can always count on her.  Never disappoints me.  Always uplifts my soul.  Thank you Lord for blessing me and our family with this beautiful woman.
I LOVE YOU MOM with all my heart.

I am also blessed to be a momma.  A momma of two beautiful girls.  They teach me new things everyday!  They inspire me to be a good mom.  They inspire me to be strong with God.  I hope I can be a great momma someday, like my mom.
I love them so deep; only Heaven knows that love.  I am a blessed woman.
Thank you Lord for giving these sweet girls to me.  They are my gifts and I will try and raise them to You!

I would also like to say THANK YOU to my Mom in LOVE!  (I searched and couldn't find a photo of her. ) This beautiful woman needs to be mentioned, because she has been the most wonderful mom-in-law ever!
I love you Mom and thank you for all you do for our family.  You love deep and true.  I am inspired by your walk with our Lord.  I have the highest respect for you and all you do for others!
I am blessed because of you.  Thank you for raising a wonderful son.  He completes my life and I know he wouldn't be the man he is without you and dad!
God Bless you!  LOVE YOU!

Happy Mother's Day to all those beautiful women out there!
