Just wanted to post a quick update...I am still alive. BUSY! Since our new addition to the family I have been all over the place. He is a handful and we have been trying to re figure out our lives. It is so much like having a new baby human, just you have to take him out potty at 12am, 4:00am, and 6:00am in the grass, when it's dark, cold, and spooky! I lie in bed thinking I hear him crying, when really it's my imagination. Then I can't sleep...I end up trying to make it through the day on caffeine, which I didn't do before. Oh, and human babies really don't BITE...dog babies DO! I feel that we are on the right track to getting him in control, but it is a daily repetitive job! I knew this was going to happen, but when it hits you in the face emotionally and physically so fast, it has been hard to deal with. He is only 8 weeks old (on Monday) so I know we have a long way to go. He LOVES my husband and seems to be more calm with his presence. Even today Bison seemed more calm and he didn't bite as much. He is a very sweet dog...I can't say all bad things about him. He loved a good brushing today, which put him to sleep. He loves his back legs rubbed and will just stand there so you can do it. He hasn't had any potty accidents in a long time. He does have lots of energy and eats a lot. We are enjoying him and so far we don't regret getting him at all. I love having a doggy!
Besides the dog...the girls are doing wonderful in their schooling. They have almost completed a whole months of swimming and we are feeling more comfortable with all that's going on. I am blessed to have such wonderful girls. Plus, they don't bite or go potty all night long! PTL...lol!
I can't believe I am doing this post without photos. Just wanted to keep in touch and it is getting late. God Bless you all and have a great night. xoxoxoxox

Everythings Peachy
Things are super busy! Not sure where my head is at. I am tired and feeling a bit loopy! However, we still seem to be doing school, swim, and training our new addition, Bison! The house isn't perfect, my hair is a mess, my laundry is washed-but not folded, I am not sure if I even showered today...(shhhhh)! Though, we are happy and blessed in our Lords love.
Here are a few photos of the last few days:
9-12-11 YEAH!!! Melina and I are so proud of these. This was the first time I have ever canned peaches. It was so wonderful and only because my daughter helped me the whole way through. I could not have done it without her. She made the experience perfect!!!!
9-12-11 We are now set with 11 quarts of fresh peaches!!! Yummy!
9-14-11 Here is my little crazy man Bison!!! We are in for a long ride with him! He is just about 6 1/2 weeks old now and full of life. He has already learned the command "sit" (with a treat involved) and seems to be picking up our routine! Well, he isn't sleeping all night yet! This is why I am TIRED!!! TIRED!!! TIRED!!! He woke up last night every two hours! HELP!

Welcome Home
Yes, we did it! We found ourselves a new baby boy! The girls worked hard this summer and saved all their money for a new baby Labrador. We didn't know that it would happen before winter, but the Lord lead the way and we followed the path to this beautiful baby boy!
We were blessed to meet his owners (the humans, hee) and the Labrador parents (who were super good looking) who had a litter of 14 puppies. All super cute...it was hard to decide...dad and Melina picked this beautiful boy!
(Thank you to the breeders for your kindness and letting us visit your beautiful home.)
9-10-11 Brand new Baby BISON!!! Oh and by the way, we had picked Bison's name before we met his dad. Well, when we met the breeders we found out that Bison's dads name is Buffalo!!!! It was meant to be!

Our Very First Eggs
Well, it has finally happened. After all the hard work and almost 5 months of waiting, one of our chickens laid her first egg! Melina found it in the dirt and we believe she started laying yesterday, because it was cold and because she was trying to lay another one this morning!
We quickly got her nesting box ready (I wasn't expecting eggs this early, so my boxes weren't ready) with straw and introduced her to it. She loved it and worked her little spot. About 15 minutes later we witnessed her laying egg #2!!!! It was so cool. I wonder who will be next...
